Six KAMEN RIDER Films Coming to Blu-ray Later This Year From Media Blasters
In his latest Youtube video, Media Blasters CEO John Sirabella gave an update on their Kamen Rider titles, previously announced in 2021.
He confirmed the acquisition of SHIN KAMEN RIDER: PROLOGUE (1992), KAMEN RIDER ZO (1993), KAMEN RIDER J (1994), KAMEN RIDER WORLD (1994), KAMEN RIDER: THE FIRST (2005), and KAMEN RIDER: THE NEXT (2007).
Their plan is to release the first three films in a box set, including WORLD as an extra, with the earliest release timeframe being this summer. THE FIRST and THE NEXT would be in their own set, with likely release by the end of the year.
All of the films will have Japanese audio only, with English subtitles. Media Blasters previously released KAMEN RIDER: THE FIRST on DVD in 2007, under the title MASKED RIDER: THE FIRST. There’s no word on whether or not these releases will carry the “Masked Rider” moniker.
